One of the cool things about putting Beyond Cyberpunk!<\/a> on the Web has been that its content is now getting linked to far and wide. It has triggered fond memories of the bad ol’ days of early cyberculture<\/a> for some, and its reviews and essays are being pointed to by others. Following these links back has led to some fun discoveries. One recent example is a LiveJournal entry<\/a> where ComicBookLovers linked to my BCP! review<\/a> of the comic book “The Blue Lily” and wondered whatever happened to books 3 and 4 (only 1 and 2 ever saw print). Author and artist of the book wrote the poster back and updates fans on Blue Lily’s possible-future. His email, after the jump.<\/p>\n

Yeh, the devil fools with the best laid plans. Funny you should ask right now, tho – I’ve recently started work on the story to finish it and eventually put it on the web.<\/p>\n

It’s a long story – (not only the Blue Lily, but my attempts to get it all done) – the whole thing was drawn in very detailed rough form but I never completed all the artwork. It will take me a while to get it completely drawn and digitised – there’s a fair bit of redrawing to do and I’ve been rewriting here and there where I’ve expanded the back story (I did originally intend there to be a sequel to the original four episode story) – but I’m well into it now and will eventually finish it all this time. Unfortunately, I can only do it in my spare time and it will take months –
maybe even a year, although I am intending to start web publishing pages weekly when I’m about two- thirds through.<\/p>\n
